Hindustan Times emerges as the largest brand in key markets

As per the latest round (2017) of the Indian Readership Survey, Hindustan Times emerges as the largest brand in the most important English markets of Delhi plus Mumbai with a combined Average Issue Readership of 28.5 lakh.

In Delhi-NCR, Hindustan Times re-established itself as the undisputed No 1 newspaper for the 15th time. HT continues to be the most read newspaper in Delhi-NCR with more than 20.2 lakh AIR, 47% higher than TOI making TOI a distant No. 2. In one of the most premium markets of the country – Gurgaon – HT continues to dominate.

HT has made strong inroads into Punjab and has dislodged The Tribune to become the clear No 1 newspaper of the region. With an AIR of 2.7 lakh, HT powers ahead of The Tribune (AIR 2.4 lakh).

In Mumbai, HT has grown its readership significantly once again to 8.3 lakh AIR, which is nearly 70% of TOI. It is now the undisputed No. 2 daily in the city. Also, in the critical and most important markets of Delhi-NCR + Mumbai,              HT races ahead of TOI with a readership of 28.5 lakh over TOI’s 25.3 lakh.
