Housing.com celebrates Women's Day with its unique Ad film ‘Apna Ghar’

This Women's Day, Housing.com is taking its commitment to promote women's empowerment to the next level with its latest ad film 'Apna Ghar'. The new Ad Film aims at transforming the perspective of society which uses terms like “apne ghar main karna” with women.  ‘Apna Ghar’ translates to your own home, though for most Indian women the term is used to refer to a marital home when they are unmarried and their parent’s home (for married women), leaving them confused as to which house is theirs.

This Women’s Day Housing.com decided to explore this avidly used term and its impact on women, leaving them confused about their own place in the world, but in the unique Housing style.

Purchasing a house is one of the most significant decisions a family can make. In the past few years, there has been a paradigm shift in India's home purchase habits. The decision-making process for buying a home has changed significantly, with women playing a major role in the whole process. Today, more women are taking the lead, vis-à-vis the financial load of buying a new home and maintaining the same.

Housing.com has always been promoting the increasing role of women in the home buying or renting journey through their campaigns. Housing.com’s TV spot, #GharDhoondnaKoiInseSeekhe was launched in 2019 starring the actors – Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal effectively communicating a wife’s role during their search for a home sweet home.
