Hungama launches Hungama Music Quiz Alexa Skill

Hungama, India’s leading digital entertainment company, today launched Hungama Music Quiz Alexa skill that allows users of Amazon Echo and Fire TV devices, Alexa app, Amazon Shopping App (Android only) and Alexa-enabled devices to play an engaging music-driven trivia game. The skill allows Alexa users to test their knowledge of music across different categories like Bollywood Hits, Romantic Songs & Dance Numbers. Users get to play against other players across India with their total scores matched against each other to decide the winner.

To play the game, users simply need to say, “Alexa, open Hungama Music Quiz”. Alexa will welcome the users and give a recap of the user’s existing score, if applicable, and then ask them to choose a category to compete in. Once the category is selected by the player, Alexa will pick an opponent for the user and will play 5 song clips of approximately 8 seconds each. The user then needs to guess the song name and movie name. If the user gets either the song or the movie name correct, they win 10 points and if they answer both, the song and movie name correctly, they score 20 points. The player’s total score is compared with the opponent’s score and whoever has scored higher wins that round of the Music Quiz. A top score gets the player a place in the weekly/monthly leaderboards as well.
