If people will not like my work, I will just put my head down & work harder : Rajveer Deol

Sunny Deol's younger son, Rajveer Deol, has made his Hindi film debut with Rajshri Productions "Dono." The film also marks the debut of Paloma Dhillon daughter of yesteryear’s actress Poonam Dhillon. Directed by Avnish Barjatya, Dono released on 5th October in theatres. Rajveer, who has studied abroad, dons a very pleasant personality and more than his father Sunny Deol he has a strong resemblance with his uncle Bobby Deol.

Speaking about his dream debut Rajveer says,”The director of Dono Avnish Barjatya had this script for a long time and he was very sure what he was looking at. I met him through a casting director and no one was aware of my identity. I don’t know how someone will believe this, but people thought that Sunny Deol has only one son.” So acting was always your priority? “I used to be good with basketball and a gamer (video games), so wanted to become both. Then when I watched Border, my dad’s film I was convinced that I would like to join army. But later I decided on acting and thought I can play all these roles on camera if I become an actor.”

Rajveer is not so worried about the stiff competition he will face in the industry. He says,”If people will not like my work, I will just put my head down and work harder. I know there is tough competition.”

Speaking about her father and grandfather, Rajveer says,”Dad has always said whatever you like, do that. Your upbringing is good and you are very polite and don’t ever change for anything. You are sweet and sober. To show off don’t be bold and bindaas. My grandfather is the sweetest person. I remember playing cards with him and he also used to recite his poems to me.”

Interestingly Rajveer’s elder brother Karan debuted in a home production, but for Rajveer Deol family opted for a different production house. Throwing light on that Rajveer says,”Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas was close to me as well. I have also worked in the film as an AD. After the debacle of the film Dad was very upset and he decided that I should be launched by someone else. It affected me as well, my confidence level was low too but gradually I managed to gathered the courage and today I have reached here.
