INS picks Ashish Bagga as new President

The Indian Readership Survey (INS), in its 72nd Annual General Meeting held in Bangalore elected Ashish Bagga, as its President for the year 2011 ' 2012. The CEO of the India Today Group, Bagga will succeed Mumbai's Vyapar-Janmabhoomit Group's Kundan Vyas.

Ashish Bagga was the Deputy President of INS in the year 2010-2011. As the norm goes, K. N. Tilak of Prajavani, who is the Vice ' President of INS is likely to take Bagga's place following this development. While Ravindra Kumar has been elected as the Vice - President.

Also Rakesh Sharma is the new Honorary Secretary, while V Shankaran continues to be the Secretary General.

Bagga is a Physics Honours graduate and an MBA and was also awarded the prestigious British Chevening Scholarship in 2003. He has been associated with the Indian media business for over 25 years and is exceedingly active in various industry bodies as well.
