JioCinema targets SMBs with budget-friendly IPL ads

JioCinema, aiming to shake up the digital ad market, is offering attractive deals to small and medium businesses (SMBs) for advertising during the Indian Premier League (IPL). This strategic move targets SMBs who heavily advertise on Google and Meta platforms. According to reports, JioCinema boasts a low cost per thousand impressions (CPM) – as low as Rs 25 – for SMBs to reach a massive audience during live IPL streams. Packages start with a base price of Rs 50,000 for 1.25 million impressions, offering flexibility for different budget sizes. Weekday and weekend ad rates vary slightly, catering to potential fluctuations in viewership.

JioCinema has an ambitious goal of attracting 4,000 SMB advertisers for IPL 2024. Industry experts believe this strategy will lessen dependence on large advertisers and create a more robust "long-tail" of smaller businesses. A recent report highlights the growing importance of SMBs in digital advertising, with their spending reaching Rs 20,000 crore in 2023.

JioCinema goes beyond just cost-effective pricing. They offer city-level targeting to ensure ads reach relevant audiences. Additionally, they provide support with creative development and campaign management for a hassle-free advertising experience. An easy-to-use self-serve platform allows SMBs to manage their campaigns directly.
