The director of the film, Ashutosh Gowarikar said, “I want all Indians worldwide to see this film, so they can see how the teenagers of Chittagong contributed to the fight for freedom with their valiant spirits and inimitable courage.”

Abhishek urged Mirchi listeners to go and witness this epic celluloid saga saying, “Khelein hum jeen jaan sey is an unique and special movie that chronicles the uprising of Chittagong. I would like to take this opportunity to tell everyone to watch it not just for me or Deepika but as a heartfelt tribute for those young, brave and spirited freedom-fighters who got lost somewhere in the pages of history.”

Radio Mirchi also had a unique concept whereby NGOs, who often lack media support or money, got a chance to talk about their NGO/causes on air. Enthusiastic Mirchi listeners called in and shared inspiring anecdotes on how they have been making an effort to help a certain section of society by going beyond the call of duty.

RJ Jeeturaaj and the ‘Khelein hum jee jan sey’ team were thrilled and overwhelmed when they heard these inspiring stories on unusual courage. From the several entries received, Radio Mirchi selected ‘Sahas’, an NGO that helps HIV-affected children as the winner. ‘Sahas’ continuously strives to make a difference in the lives of children impacted with HIV. This morning, their cause got an extra fillip when Abhishek, Deepika and Ashutosh endorsed the efforts being done by Sahas on air!
