Love in the Times of Climate Change: CEEW

This Earth Day, the Centre for Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), in collaboration with UnErase Poetry, has come up with a 7 weeks long initiative called, 'Love in the Times of Climate Change' (LCC), that aims to target the young audience in India, between the age group of 18-35 years, who are socially conscious and interested in art, poetry, and climate action, to engage them in climate change discussions through the power of poetry.

The campaign brings together India's seven leading performance poets to pen down experiences of love in contemporary times – the era of climate change. The poems unpack varied experiences of climate change through the poets' narratives of how the changing climate is affecting/altering our experiences of love, companionship, desire, nostalgia and other emotions in today's world. So far, three poets have been featured in the campaign: Helly Shah, Priya Malik, and Amandeep Singh. Their spoken word art offers powerful messages about love, climate change, and sustainability, which are sure to resonate with audiences.
