LoyaltyOne hires Anirban Dutta as Managing Director!

LoyaltyOne announced Anirban Dutta as Managing Director for India along with Sachin Tagra as Vice-President of Business Development.

Dutta, has been working with LoyaltyOne for two years now. He joined LoyaltyOne with more than 16 years of rich work experience in financial services, online and retail, and has  spearheaded the launch of several co-branded card programs with grocery, telecom and specialty retail partners. Dutta led the team that conceptualized, designed and launched i-mint, India's first national coalition loyalty program.

Sachin Tagra, will be a key part of the senior leadership team responsible for setting up India business as      Vice-President of Business Development for LoyaltyOne India. Sachin’s rich experience in the retail and FMCG industry makes him one of the leading practioners in the space of loyalty marketing. “India is an exciting market and I am very pleased to take this position and drive the India business and set benchmarks in the Indian loyalty and analytics space.”

LoyaltyOne President and Chief Executive Officer Bryan A. Pearson said Dutta and Tagra have the skill and experience to build LoyaltyOne’s presence in India. “Both Anirban and Sachin bring to their roles nearly two decades of operation and execution experience along with a strong bank of knowledge about the Indian market space. As a team, they will help us drive domestic business.”

Dutta is a chemical engineer with a post graduate degree in business management. His past stints have been with Reliance Retail where he was leading their Loyalty, CRM efforts across all formats, Rediff.com where he was leading their Local Search business. Anirban also had a long association with ICICI Bank where he led the Product function for the ATM Channel and then lead Strategic Alliances & Co-brands function for Card products.

Tagra was senior vice president with Times Group, AVP with Reliance Retail and India business head with The Friedman Group. Sachin has a keen interest in business simulations and is the founding and youngest member of IndSAGA (Indian Simulation and Gaming Association) which is the Indian Chapter of ISAGA (International Simulation and Gaming Association).
