LVMH could pick Pietro Beccari as new Louis Vuitton CEO

Pietro Beccari, chairman and CEO of Christian Dior Couture, will succeed Michael Burke as chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton. Delphine Arnault, Louis Vuitton’s executive vice president who oversees all of the company's product-related activities, has been named CEO and chairman of Christian Dior Couture. Charles Delapalme, currently Dior’s executive vice president for commercial affairs, has been appointed managing director. Burke will begin reporting directly to Bernard Arnault, the chairman, and CEO of LVMH, replacing Burke, who has held the position since 2013. As of 1 February, the changes will take effect.
In addition to staging physical shows during the pandemic and at the Pyramids in Egypt, he built top-notch retail stores and experiences at Dior and raised the bar for luxury flagship stores with the reopening of the historic store. Using Dior’s iconic heritage, he stepped up investments for long-term growth, putting the company at the top of the luxury pyramid. In addition, Beccari invested heavily in digital and social media, particularly in China, as well as in markets such as South Korea.
