MakeMyTrip picks Sanket Atal as Chief Technology Officer

Sanket Atal has taken over as Chief Technology Officer at MakeMyTrip, India’s leading travel company to head Technology Development and Support teams. Sanket is a seasoned technology leader having spent over two decades in software development and managing large organizations. He is experienced in building highly scalable complex platforms and applications.

 

Speaking on the appointment Deep Kalra, CEO and Founder, MakeMyTrip said, “We are extremely pleased to have Sanket on board. Sanket was previously Senior Vice President & General Manager for the India Technology Center of CA Technologies in Hyderabad, which is the largest center for CA worldwide. Prior to this, he was with Oracle heading product development and operations for its Server Technology division with teams in Bangalore, Hyderabad and NOIDA.  Sanket was one of the founders of Oracle’s R&D center in Portland, Oregon.  He started his career developing a parallel Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) at Informix Software Inc.

 

Sanket holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Mathematics from Cornell University and MS in Computer Science from University of Wisconsin Madison with an MBA from University of Oregon.
