'Meri Saheli' turns fortnightly

Meri Saheli the Hindi monthly women's magazine will turn into a fortnightly for the month of November. Following the buzz around the festive season, the magazine will have two issues in the month of November- November I and November II.

The cover price, number of pages and the ad rates will remain the same. The publishing house- Pioneer Book Company planned this initiative post interactions with the readers, which is a continuous and on-going process to understand the audience better.

Speaking exclusively to Adgully, Lalit Pahwa, Director, Pioneer Book Company, said, "We found that the readers and the advertising fraternity were demanding a higher frequency for the festive month of November. So, our loyalists get to read the magazine twice in this month and the advertisers have a better and a wider campaign platform to reach to their consumers."

Last month the publishing house came out with the Marathi women's magazine called Maajhi Saheli. Though it retained the brand identity- "Saheli", the publishing house launched the magazine to provide original Marathi and women-centric content and doesn't believe in providing a Marathi version of "Meri Saheli".

Apart from Meri Saheli, Pioneer Book Company publishes New Woman, Homemaker and Arogya Sanjeevani. | By Prabha Hegde [prabha(at)adgully.com]
