Mirzapur music composer Anand Bhaskar composes for Country Delight

Anand Bhaskar, the playback singer, music producer and composer known for his super hit songs Munna Rap and Raakh from Mirzapur, has partnered with Country Delight, one of India’s largest food essential brands to create an advertising jingle, “Doodh mein chemical locha.”

The advert is the first in a series of three upcoming commercials directed by Anand Karir that feature Anand’s music and is part of a campaign that focuses on consuming 100% safe milk. It starts with Anand’s catchy upbeat tune and shows two women sitting and giggling at their friends’ home while she brings them tea. The moment one of the ladies lifts the teapot; we see a fuming conical flask indicating the presence of chemicals in the milk. Dumbfounded, they refuse to drink, prompting their friend to apologise. That is followed by two similar scenes: A mom offers adulterated milk to her daughter and a husband brings his pregnant wife a glass of milk which she finds to be mixed with chemicals and hormones. The advertisement then leaves you with a question: Are such chemicals and hormones present in your homes too? And asks you to bring 100% pure Country Delight milk home. 

The advertisement finds a special place in Anand’s portfolio as his mentor, Anand Karir and many of his contemporaries, including his friends, are part of this ad campaign. Karir is also the lyricist and director of Anand’s video song Main Hoon Zameen made by Anand Bhaskar Collective, a band which is known for its unique sound and loyal fanbase in India. Being a part of the advertising world in his past career, Anand has learned a lot from the industry and revealed that around 10 different video commercials are slated for release shortly. 

Anand Bhaskar made his debut as a playback singer in Bollywood with Get Ready to Fight Again from Tiger Shroff’s blockbuster Baaghi 2 followed by a playback performance in the song ‘Shaabaashiyaan’ in Misson Mangal and composing songs for Mirzapur which received widespread recognition. In addition to this, Anand has also composed songs for Netflix’s Bombay Begums. Some of his most recent work includes Amazon mini TV’s film Gray, web series such as Masoom on Hotstar and Dr. Arora on SonyLIV. From a brand new album in the works with the ABC to songs for new web series and films, Anand Bhaskar is all set to take the centre stage.
