MOMS - IES drives Tata Motors' branding at GIM Expo 2012

The Global Investors Meet (GIM) was conducted at the Bangalore International Exhibition Center (BIEC) from 6th June to 8th June 2012. GIM is a biennial summit which aims at bringing together business leaders, investors, corporations, thought leaders, policy and opinion makers. GIM 2012 was held by the Government of Karnataka. The summit saw the participation of a large number of prospective investors, industry leaders, trade associations and entrepreneurs.
 
GIM Expo 2012 is an extremely premium trade show held at GIM. GIM Expo provides a colossal platform for participants to showcase themselves and it covers an array of industries which include aerospace, defense, automobiles, health, education, energy, agriculture, tourism and many more.
 
Tata Motors, who were the gold sponsors for GIM 2012, were looking to highlight their association at this forum via their expo stall. The pitch for the Tata stall was given one week before the event and the execution timelines for the event post all finalizations was very tight. The design aspect of the stall prominently focused on showcasing the commercial and passenger Vehicles from the Tata Motors stable.
 
 
Roshan Dalwani- Senior Manager, Madison Outdoor Media Solutions - IES  (Integrated Experiential Solutions) said that the brief given to them by Tata Motors was to come up with stall design options that showcased the brand and their vehicles prominently. Elaborating on the activity held in the stall, he said that IES was mainly involved with the designing and implementation of the stall while the brand team of Tata Motors interacted with the prospective buyers and guests.
 
Roshan added that integration has been the expertise of IES and therefore they had outdoor media activation supporting the Tata Motors association with the GIM event. Roshan exclaimed that the event initiated a promising association and IES would continue to deliver towards client delight.
 
On Tata Motors participation at Expo 2012 Sridhar Katti -Regional Sales Manager, South -Buses at Tata Motors, said, “Tata Motors wanted to showcase its global presence and also its commitment to the state of Karnataka.” He added that the products showcased are manufactured at Tata Motors Plant at Dharwad , Karnataka.
 
Sridhar said that Tata Motors plans to engage prospective buyers of commercial & passenger vehicles through the activity held in the stall. Elaborating further, he said, “The target customers were the SMEs who wanted to be Vendors & Suppliers to the major Investors. Besides, we also saw prospective customers for cars in the form of government employees and employees of banking agencies.
