NEC unveiled next generation retail solutions at India Retail Forum 2011

NEC India Pvt. Ltd, a leading network and IT solutions provider, demonstrated its technology leadership in the retail space by unveiling a range of latest retail solutions including the innovative compact POS terminal with self check-in system, thermal printer and customized retail and billing solutions at the recently held India Retail Forum 2011. These solutions are aimed at segments like Food and Beverage, Large Format Retail, Cineplex and Hospitality.

1. TWINPOS G7 - TWINPOS G7 streamlines retail operations while offering and powerful energy-efficient performance at reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Advances include easy screw-less component removal, a choice of four energy-efficient Intel Core„¢ i CPUs, a guaranteed 5-year supply of key components, optional remote monitoring service, and the smallest footprint of any competing system.

2. NEC Thermal Printer - Completes your point-of-sale solution with high-performance NEC thermal printer -NEC 143GT GRY. It offers printer method direct line thermal printing. Its print speed is 250mm/s (maximum) and print Resolution 203 dpi (8 dots per mm). The all new 143GT GRY Thermal Printer features a sleek modern design, ESC/ POS compatibility.

3. Restaurant Management System ' The restaurant management solution offers remote frequency management enabling integrated operation of the all the activities including printing/display of orders in the kitchen, better inventory control through a touch screen terminals. According to the BMI India Retail Report, the total retail sales are expected to grow to US$674.37 billion by 2014, from US$392.63 billion in 2011.
