The eight distinguished recipients of the ‘Gujarat Ratna Awards 2023’ included Padmashri Kartikeya Sarabhai: Education; Padmabhusan Kumudini Alkhiya: Arts and Culture; Padmashri Hemant Chauhan- Music; Padmashri Shahbuddin Rathod: Literature; Shri Pankaj Patel, Industry, Chairman: Zydus Group; Actor Shri Malhar Thakar: Entertainment; Padmashri Dr. Tejas Patel: Health; Shri Dileep Sanghani: Co-Operative

The evening was graced by the presence of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, who attended as the chief guest. In his address, the Chief Minister expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the Gujarat Ratna awardees and praised News18 Gujarati for initiating such an admirable initiative.  The event also saw the presence of prominent individuals from the city.
