Nikon launches professional services for professional photographers

On the occasion, Hiroshi Takashina, Managing Director, Nikon India said, "Keeping in mind the needs of our customers we have launched the NPS services in India as for us India has always been one of the most important markets. We always strive to provide our customers the best in class services with respect to servicing, repairing, and discounts. Nikon Professional Services is currently operating in 16 countries with primary functions to provide equipment maintenance and repair services and to provide on-site support for professional photographers working at international events."

Koichiro Yamada, General Manager, Customer Relations Department, Imaging Company, Nikon Corp. said, "After looking at the success of NPS globally we thought of bringing it to India as well. As a manufacturer of imaging products that leads the professional industry, Nikon will continue to expand and enhance the Nikon Professional Services and continue to offer new services that fulfill user needs in order to reinforce its support and service organization. We at Nikon wish to collectively contribute as much as we can towards the photo culture of this country."

Nikon will start this membership for selected media houses (Company membership) targeting Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Kolkata. After collecting the relevant details from the concerned media houses Nikon will start distributing the membership. The primary criteria for a photographer to avail the facilities of NPS are that a photographer must be a full time professional registered with a renowned media/ publication house using high end Nikon products; must be a resident of India and must be a Nikon brand loyalist.

Nikon Professional Services members can avail Priority Service, firsthand experience of the newly launched products, special support during national or international events like Common Wealth Games, Asian Football Confederation, FIFA World cup, Special discount on labor charges, facility to avail back up equipment in case of any emergency, cross country benefits i.e. any NPS member can avail these services while on tour to a county where a Nikon subsidiary is operational.

For nearly half a century, Nikon professional service has not only provided routine maintenance and repair services for professional photographer's equipment, but has also provided support for professional needs.
