Nokia N8 unveiled, Priyanka Chopra roped in as brand ambassador

The product will be the first of a series of devices powered by Symbian^3, the latest edition of the world's most used smartphone software. It will allow people to create compelling content, connect to their favorite social networks and enjoy on-demand Web TV programs and content. The latest version of Ovi Store, available first on the Nokia N8, gives easy access to more apps. Keeping Indian consumers in mind, Nokia has introduced thousands of apps on the Ovi Store, optimized for the Nokia N8.

Speaking at the unveiling, D. Shivakumar, Vice President and Managing Director, Nokia India said, "The consumer is in the centre of all that we do at Nokia and we are constantly innovating to enhance user experience and address user feedback. The N8, our latest smartphone, sets a new milestone for Nokia in growth and innovation with the new Symbian ^3 platform that delivers our best smartphone experience required by the ever demanding consumer today. It is the first in a new generation of Nokia devices; devices that are faster, more intuitive and fun to use.

The Nokia N8 will be available across the country from October 13, 2010, starting with Nokia Priority Stores, at an MRP of Rs. 26,259/-.
