Not using mobile is the biggest marketing blunder: Digital experts

With the rapid growth in the use of mobile, the platform is now increasingly being used by brands to engage consumers, so much so that ads and promotions when one is on mobile are becoming the norm. The market for mobile advertising is growing exponentially.

As per Vpon’s report on APAC Mobile Advertising Statistics and Trends for H1 2017, China and India are now generating the most biddable mobile advertising inventory, occupying over one-third of inventory in APAC.

In such a positive industry scenario, MOBEXX Awards is a significant addition to recognise and reward benchmark setting work in mobile advertising and marketing in India.

MOBEXX 2017 jury members – Sanjeev Jasani (Cheil India), Sunder Madakshira (Adobe India) and Anjali Hegde (Ansible Mobile India) – speak about the growth in mobile technology and marketing in India today.

Sanjeev Jasani, Senior VP & Chief Digital Office, India & SW Asia, Cheil India:
“If you are not using mobile technology to attract new customers to your business, you are making the biggest marketing blunder. Remember your competitors are already using it and are getting those customers instead.”

Sunder Madakshira, Head of Marketing, Adobe India:
“Today’s India is mobile, literally. The mobile platform is robust and has delivered the promise of convergence quite comprehensively. I am delighted to be on the Jury of MOBEXX and look forward to experiencing some great stuff on this venture.”

Anjali Hegde, CEO, Ansible Mobile India:
“One of the recent Magna reports reveal that in India, mobile advertising will take over desktop advertising by 2020. Technology has completely overturned the marketing funnel and mobile plays a crucial role in it, and marketers are embracing mobile advertising with that much enthusiasm. It’s platforms like Adgully’s MOBEXX that are integrating the mobile advertising community and showcasing the potential that we have. I am extremely proud to be part of the MOBEXX Awards jury this year. I am looking forward to seeing some great work and getting inspired.”
