Now Turkey's Hobi Kozmetik is officially a Dabur company

Dabur International Ltd., the Dubai-based subsidiary of Dabur India Ltd, today announced the completion of the acquisition of Turkey's leading personal care products maker Hobi Kozmetik Group. Dabur has acquired 100% stake in three Hobi Group firms ' Hobi Kozmetik, Zeki Plastik and Ra Pazarlama. With the completion of this transaction, Hobi Group has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dabur International Ltd.

The completion of this acquisition represents a significant step for Dabur in our strategy to accelerate growth in the international market. The acquisition of Hobi Kozmetik is an important step towards further consolidating and expanding Dabur's already substantial presence in the Middle East and North Africa region," said Dabur India Ltd Group Director P. D. Narang.

Set up in 1974, Hobi Kozmetik is a leading manufacturer of personal care products in Turkey. The company is a market leader in the hair gel category with a 35% share, and markets a wide range of hair care and skin care products under the "Hobby' and "New Era' brands. Its products are sold across 35 countries, including the Middle East and North Africa.

Ventura Partners was the investment banker operating on behalf of Dabur for this transaction, while Hobi's investment banker was Raiffeisen Investment AG.
