Now, users can add multiple accounts on WhatsApp

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg just announced that users can now have two WhatsApp accounts logged in at the same time. In his Facebook post, Zuckerberg has written, “Switch between two accounts on WhatsApp – Soon you’ll be able to have two WhatsApp accounts on one phone within the app.”

This is particularly useful for people switching between accounts, such as between work and personal – making it so that users no longer need to log out each time, carry two phones or worry about messaging from the wrong account. This will be rolling out to Android users in the coming weeks and months.

To set up a second account, users will need a second phone number and SIM card, or a phone that accepts multi-SIM or eSIM. Simply open the WhatsApp settings, click on the arrow next to one’s name, and click “Add account”. Users can control their privacy and notification settings on each account.
