Ogilvy's Mumbai office goes red in true Ogilvy style!

23rd June 2011 was an incredible and a memorable day for Ogilvy as it celebrated the 100th birthday of David Ogilvy. The day was celebrated with much enthusiasm and redness around the world across all Ogilvy agencies. Ogilvy also held a special celebration at this year's Cannes Lion international Festival of creativity.

Ushering in the celebrations the Mumbai Ogilvy office was all set in the party mood. David Ogilvy's favorite color being red, to honor him they made sure that they could paint the town and the office red. Calling it as the "Red Letter Day' in the office, right form the costumes, refreshments, cake, décor every thing was red, the atmosphere felt so absolutely red. Various activities and with good music played by a DJ the day was planned well in terms to reinforce the true Ogilvy spirit.

Talking exclusively to Adgully about David Ogilvy, Hephzibah Pathak, President, Ogilvy Mumbai, says, "David Ogilvy was a pioneer in the industry and continues to be an inspiration to us all. We are honoring his rich and lasting legacy, by celebrating his centennial year, around the world. Here in Mumbai we are `turning on the red' on his 100th year, and have a fun filled day planned to honor and celebrate his lasting influence."

Everyone in the office flaunted the Red Badge of honor and expressing how proud they were to be a part of the rich culture that David Ogilvy has set in.

Madhukar Sabnavis, Country head, Discovery and Planning, Ogilvy India, says "David Ogilvy's birth centenary is being celebrated simultaneously across offices worldwide and we in India are doing the same, it feels great that across the world people imbibe the same culture. Each office is doing its own set of activities to celebrate and remember both the spirit and principles of our founder"

He adds that the Delhi office, will be hosting activities such as Pictionary and a quiz. "The essence of the day is to remember our founder and celebrate all the values that he stood for." concludes Sabnavis.
