Outbrain's Sandeep Balani, joins Jio Platforms

Sandeep Balani, former Outbrain Head of India, has joined Jio Platforms. He will be responsible for increasing supply for Jio platforms such as e-commerce, gaming, OTT, and news in his new role.

Balani was appointed as Outbrain's Head of India in 2017 and has worked extensively to advance the market penetration of Outbrain's entire product portfolio, managing both the Publisher and Advertiser sides of the business to provide a more holistic approach to the company's activity in the region. He was a driving force behind the introduction of the Outbrain and Zemanta platforms to the Indian market.

Balani previously served as Outbrain's Director of Business Development for Engage in India, where he was in charge of securing and strengthening relationships with the region's most prestigious publishers.
