PIB hires Satyendra Prakash as the Principal Director General

Press Information Bureau has hired Satyendra Prakash as the Principal Director General. Prakash will be succeeded by Jaideep Bhatnagar. The Election Commission has honoured Prakash for his outreach campaigns aimed at increasing the participation of voters in elections post Covid-19.
During his career, which spans over three decades, he has assumed many roles in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting as the Director (Media), Ministry of Communications & IT, Ministry of Civil Aviation in the Press Information Bureau, Additional Director General, News & Current Affairs in Doordarshan.
