Prestigious CLIO Awards 2011 honors leading Indian ad agencies!
Amongst eight Indian entries who had made it to the shortlist of CLIO awards, JWT is the only Indian agency to win a gold for its campaign of Fujifilm F70 cameras named Inner Smile.
The shortlisted entries from India includes McCann Worldgroup's three, Rediffusion Y&R and Leo Burnett India's two entries each, while JWT India had one entry shortlisted.
The wide range of categories for CLIO Awards includes Interactive, Direct Mail, Content & Contact, Film, Print, Out of Home, Innovative Media, Integrated Campaign, Radio, Design and Public Relations. Student work is also recognized in Interactive, Film, Print, Out of Home, Innovative Media, Integrated Campaign and Design.
Rediffusion Y&R Mumbai won a Bronze in the Design category for its work on the ad of "Flip It' for Marriage Counsellor, Dr Raj Brahmbhatt,.
McCann Worldgroup Mumbai won a Bronze in Design category for Enslaved Children "Ceramic Plate, Wooden Frame, Crying Carpet, Wall Hanging'; another Bronze in the Direct Mail category again for Enslaved Children "Ceramic Plate' Public Service Child Labour; and the third Bronze was won for its work titled Fire Scooter for Republic of Chicken Restaurant. McCann has bagged three Bronzes in all the three categories it was shortlisted
Leo Burnett's Sketch Up (Campaign) Heinz Ketchup and Pleasure of Mixing Bajaj Hand Blender, has won two Bronzes in the Print and Radio categories for respectively.
Each year, the CLIO Awards appoints an average of 115 top creatives from 65 countries to nine distinct CLIO Juries.
