PromaxBDA India rewards the work of the broadcast industry

PromaxBDA India Awards 2015 acknowledge and reward the work of the broadcast industry across categories

The evening saw Zee Entertainment Enterprises and Multi Screen Media (MSM) bag maximum gold awards at PromaxBDA India Awards 2015

While Zee won 9 Gold and 5 Silver Awards, MSM won 6 Gold and 7 Silver Awards

Mumbai, 13 May, 2015: The 12th edition of PromaxBDA India, which took place at The Westin today, witnessed a convergence of thought leaders from the broadcasting industry. The conference was waved off by Conference Chair PromaxBDA, Raj Nayak - CEO, Colors.

In the course of day, eminent speakers like David Shing, Digital Prophet, AOL; Nicole Velik of The Ideas Bodega; Liz Dunning of Dunning Penney Jones shared their views on the evolution of the broadcast and digital industry.

This was followed by panel discussions on “The Shift: Exploring New Demographics, Audiences and Mindsets” and “Pitch Therapy: A Two-Way Conversation about the Challenges of Engagement” which were moderated by Meenakshi Menon of Spatial Access and Tarun Katial of Reliance Broadcast Networks.

The evening was followed by the PromaxBDA India Awards where entries were nominated across 37 different categories. While Zee and MSM lead the race by winning a total of 14 and 13 awards respectively, Star India followed them by bagging 10 awards while UTV Entertainment Television Limited and NGC Network won 8 awards each.

Speaking on the success of this year’s conference, Rajika Mittra, Country Head (India), PromaxBDA said, “It was overwhelming to see the entire broadcast industry come together and make this year’s PromaxBDA Conference a huge success. This year we introduced a new format wherein we conducted PromaxBDA Boot Camps and PromaxBDA Masterclass Conference. The participation towards it was extremely encouraging and we look forward to carry it next year too.”

The PromaxBDA India Awards took place with much grandeur and were accompanied by performances from a troupe of budding singers and vocalists, which was lead by well known singer Arjun Kanungo.
