Punitha Arumugam to quit Madison Media as Group CEO; D Sriram to join as Consulting Director

Madison Media's Group CEO, Punitha Arumugam will soon end her term with the agency and would join internet giant Google. Senior sources close to the development have validated to Adgully about the movement, however, no officials from Madison Media or Google were available to comment on the same.

Sources also confirm that Arumugam will continue with Madison Media till March 2012 and at Google, she would be heading the agency relations division. Her replacement at Madison Media would be announced later his month.

Arumugam has an extensive experience spanning through a decade and half in the business of media planning and buying. She had joined Madison Media as a Media Services Director in 1999. In 200, she was promoted as the COO; West in 2001 and later went on to become the CEO at the agency. Arumugam began her career with O&M Media in Chennai, before moving on to Lintas Chennai/Bangalore.

In another development at Madison Media, D Sriram is set to join the agency as Consulting Director. Sriram was Madison Media's first Media Director. He then moved to Starcom MediaVest and went ahead to become the Head ' APAC at the agency; following which he was the COO at Aegis Media, China.
