Radio City bags the Great Places to Work Institute's Best Companies to Work for 2011

Great Places to Work Institute announced India's Best Companies to Work for 2011 study along with The Economic Times. Great Place to Work Institute believes that a strong workplace culture based on trusting relationships is the defining characteristic of a great place to work. The Great Place to Work Survey chose Radio City as the one of the best places to work in the media and entertainment space wherein the employees were fully happy with company practices and policies.

Delighted with the award, Apurva Purohit, Radio City 91.1 FM said, "Our success is a great example of how investing in your people provides solid returns. I have the pleasure of working with an exceptionally dedicated and passionate team and Radio City will continue its commitment to a rewarding, positive and supportive workplace for them.

In the last several years media has been the domain of entrepreneurs and organizations in this industry have been built around one personality or patriarch. In that sense Radio City is different. The entire organization has been built by professional managers

We've spent the last five years developing robust HR policies and as a result we can boast of having the lowest attrition rate in the industry. What worked for us was our belief in the fact that diversity will have long term impact on profitability. However we also agree that positive outcomes will not occur simply by bringing together a diverse team. Careful planning, senior management commitment, a focus on team bonding and creating an empowered and happy environment along with comprehensive training and attention to recognition and rewards are all important at Radio City in encouraging high performance in diverse teams and the results are for everyone to see."
