Radio Mantra bids adieu to 2010 with 'Music Marathon of the Decade'

As this New Year marks the beginning of a new decade, heartbeat of millions- Mantra is on a mission to maximize the celebrations for its listeners with 'Music Marathon of the Decade'. Continuing with the spirit of presenting innovative and exclusive programming in the past.

Mantra kicked off the first phase of marathon on this 21st with a unique marathon of 'Top 40', every evening from 2001 to 2009, till 30th of December. But to keep the excitement going and the audience pumped up, the second phase will take them through 'Top 100' songs of 2010 on the 31st.

On the 1st of January, 'Top 100' of the entire decade, featuring the best of 2001 to 2010 will be aired.

This is not all, as on both the days, i.e. 31st and 1st, the countdowns will be followed by a special edition of 'Dil Ka DJ'; the non-stop remix show for 5 continuous hours, which will start from 9pm and go on till 2am.

Commenting on the same, Kanwar Sameer, National Programming Head, Radio Mantra said, "We have been doing the mega countdown every year featuring the top 100 of the year but 'Music Marathon of the Decade' is our grand tribute to our listeners for all the love they showered on us. Since the 1st decade of the 21st century will be coming to an end, we thought that this is going to be the only opportunity for us to give our listeners something which will take them down the memory lane. We all have one particular song with which one relates the most and by doing a musical recap of the entire decade, we thought we certainly would be able to touch that chord".

To ensure that celebration keeps going, Mantra will give out cool prizes through out the marathon. Listeners can vote for their their favorite top song of a particular year and if their choice features in the top five, they can take home exciting prizes!
