Zee TV regains No 3 position, Sony's JDJ 4 out of the top 10 shows' list: TAM

Following last week's decline across the top channels in terms of Gross Rating Points (GRP) and Channel Share (CS), this week's TAM data speaks a completely different story. Zee TV has regained its number three position with an increased GRP and CS of 231 and 16.4% respectively, compared to the last week's GRP and CS of 192 and 14.0% respectively.

This week the channel has two of its shows amongst the top ten shows. At number three is the channel's popular show Pavitra Rishta with a TVR of 5.42% and at number eight is Zee Rishtey Awards with a TVR of 4.44%.

After being at number three for two consequtive weeks, Sony Entertainment Television (SET) has dropped to number four position with a steep decline in its GRP and CS by 36 points and 3% respectively. The channel's show Jhalak Dikhala Jaa 4 which was on number three last week is also out of the list of top ten shows.

Placed at number one is Star Plus with an increased GRP and CS of 368 and 26.1% respectively. Five shows from the channel's offering has made it to the top ten shows list. The shows from Star Plus which have been able to make it to the top shows' list are- Pratigya, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain, Sasural Genda Phool, Saathiya Saath Nibhana and a new addition replacing Tere Liye is Master Chef Grand Finale. Saathiya Saath Nibhana is the number one show across GECs for a third time in a row with a TVR of 6.11%.

Colors is placed at number two with an increased GRP and CS of 290 and 20.5% respectively compared to last weeks GRP of 265 and CS of 19.4%. This week Naa Aana Is Des Laado, Bigg Boss 4 and Laagi Tujhse Lagan are placed at number four, seven and ten respectively.

SAB is placed at number five with a GRP and CS of 146 and 10.3% respectively, while Imagine is placed at number six with a GRP of 83 and CS of 5.9%. | By Prabha Hegde [prabha(at)adgully.com]
