Red FM Kolkata launches a new campaign "Vineet ke Bolbo Naki'

Post the recently concluded high octane, rib-tickling initiative -Kolkatar Comedy Raja, RED FM Kolkata, has launched a brand new campaign "Vineet ke Bolbo Naki". The campaign is aimed at providing a platform to listeners whereby they can reach RJ Vineet and share their opinions with him and the rest of Kolkata. RJ Vineet, who hosts Red FM's extremely popular breakfast show Nomoskar Kolkata Mon-Sat 7-11am, is at the helm of affairs and Kolkataites can call him on his dedicated number 092307 73935 at any time of the day.

Since the launch of "Vineet ke Bolbo Naki" on 30th Aug "10, Red FM Kolkata has already clocked in an average of more than 1000 calls per day. The content of the calls has been diverse, ranging right from frothy filmy gossip about movie stars to serious issues such as corporal punishment in school or the dilapidated state of hospitals & clinics in Kolkata.

A Red FM OB Van is also doing the round of the city and recording all the messages that Kolkataites want to pass on to Vineet.

Speaking about his experience, RJ Vineet says, "One of the complaints that I used to get from my listeners was that whenever they tried to get in touch with me, they were unable to get through to the studio's busy phone lines. With this campaign, we are giving fans the chance to have their opinions heard by the whole of Kolkata without having to experience another frustrating "your call's on hold" message. The response has been phenomenal and we have had some very interesting callers so far."

For instance, one listener had shared a shocking story about the lack of adequate security measures in the metro trains. RED FM decided to explore this further and RJ Vineet traveled in the metro train with an 8 kg backpack during peak hours. Surprisingly, he managed to board the train without any security checks, thus exposing a loophole in the system.

Commenting on this campaign, Nisha Narayanan, Senior VP, Projects and Programming, said "Vineet Ke Bolbo Nahi is an attempt to empower listeners. They get to decide what goes on air and contribute actively. As a station for expression, our focus has been on ways in which we can increase interactivity and build engagement with listeners. We have already executed two highly successful, interactive campaigns in Mumbai and are presently running a similar activity in Delhi."

"Vineet ke Bolbo Naki", will run right through the month of September, 2010 and Kolkataites can reach Vineet by calling him on 092307 73935 to have their voices heard.
