Remo D’souza urges fans to learn a new langauge

Sometimes, actions speak louder than words. This message is evident in famed dancer and choreographer, Remo D’Souza’s new Instagram Reel.  In the video, Remo who’s amidst dance practice displays how communication during dance practice or shoots, doesn’t rely on words. But instead, most performers use signs and gestures to speak with one another to avoid breaking the flow of the session or shoot. That is the power of signs. Building on his example, where signs are already a part of many lives in some way or the other, Remo goes on to urge his fans to make a proactive attempt to learn sign language. And he doesn’t stop there – he also gets fans to learn while he learns a few signs from Indian Sign Langue like Good Day, Love and Thank You.

Remo’s video is a part of KFC India’s ongoing campaign, #SpeakSign aimed at creating awareness and acceptance of sign language as a mode of communication, to lower barriers and nurture inclusivity. Since the launch of the campaign on International Day of Sign Languages 2022, several prominent public figures and celebrities like Bollywood actors Ayushmaan Khurana, Parineeti Chopra, Shreyas Talpade, cricketer Sikhar Dhawan and former captain of the India women's national cricket team Mithali Raj have also joined in to support KFC India in its efforts. With KFC Kshamata, KFC India aims to bridge the gender and ability imbalance gap and increase the women workforce at their restaurants by 2X by 2024.

Remo’s video has garnered over 400K+ views, with some interesting comments from Bollywood superstars, influencers, and consumers within the first 24 hours!
