Roadtrippers Club keeps the rhythm alive with the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation (MMMF)

Roadtrippers Club, a Mumbai based fast growing road tripping community for enthusiasts, beginners and those who love hitting the roads, is headed to Nashik this weekend where they will launch the single ‘Let’s keep the rhythm alive ‘. This is part of their long-term initiative that was triggered by the call to save the iconic Rhythm House by Mr. Anand Mahindra. They will also raise awareness and crowd source funds for the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation (MMMF) spearheaded by world renowned music conductor and director Zubin Mehta.

Speaking on this initiative, Deepak Ananth from the Roadtrippers Club, stated, “When we got to know about the Rhythm House project, we felt there was a need to do something from one community for another community and showcase how music and road-trips go hand in hand. We firmly believe that the Rhythm must be kept alive and what better way to do that then to not just create a musical ode to the rhythms of life but to also partner with a not for profit organisation like the MMMF which has seen doing some outstanding work in the field of music for over two decades.”

Mehli Mehta Music Foundation (MMMF) is a not-for-profit organization that promotes western classical music through the presentation of high quality concerts and music education for children. The Foundation honours the father of Mr. Zubin Mehta, the late Mr. Mehli Mehta (1908 – 2002), a conductor and violinist who lived in Bombay until 1954 before he emigrated to the UK and subsequently to the US, where he was conductor of the American Symphony for 33 glorious years. The MMMF is dedicated to initiating, assisting and implementing the process of opening its doors and the doors of the city of Mumbai to the music of the world. During 2017-2018, they delivered music classes to over 1400 children and their students also performed for HM Queen Mathilde of Belgium when she was on a state visit to India in November 2017.
