Salman Khan steps forward to support AISFM's fundraising celebrity auction

Annapurna International School of Film and Media (AISFM), India’s premier film school today announced the participation and support of Bollywood Actor Salman Khan in the school’s fundraising program.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan joined the initiative and has donated a Being Human watch and a personally signed T shirt to support the Hyderabad based film school AISFM. Salman’s items will be auctioned to raise funds.

On donating an autographed T-shirt and a wristwatch from his foundation, Being Human, Salman Khan said, "I am happy to donate these items to the AISFM fundraising celebrity auction. Across India there are lakhs of highly talented youth who are financially disadvantaged. The scholarships that this fundraising event makes possible will help many people to realize their dreams while introducing new artists, filmmakers and technicians to our industry.”

AISFM’s fundraising efforts raise money to offer scholarships to deserving and talented young people who aspire to make a career in the media industry, which is one of the booming industries in the country. There is a dearth of trained personnel in the industry and providing scholarships to such students will give an impetus to pursue a degree in the field of their choice.

Kurt Inderbitzen, the CEO of AISFm said, “A big thank you to Salman Khan for being a part of our initiative, we appreciate the support extended by him to our cause. This gives us an opportunity to reach out to the brilliant students who need the financial aid to pursue a career in the film and media industry.”
