Sandeep Amar quits Indian Express Digital as CEO a year after joining

Sandeep Amar has put down his papers as Chief Executive Officer, Indian Express Digital. Amar had joined Indian Express in June 2016. He will remain with the organisation till the end of August. He was leading all the digital initiatives for the group. 

Amar has over 20 years of experience in the industry, during which he has worked with various corporates and start-up companies. 

Prior to joining Indian Express Digital, Amar was associated with India.com – a Zee Entertainment and Penske Media Corporation JV, where he was Chief Executive Officer. He had also worked with Times Internet, where he was Head - Marketing, Audience and Sales Strategy. During his tenure, Times Internet moved from rank 3 to undisputed No. 1 in terms of audiences and contributed to significant revenue growth of the company. He has also worked at Citigroup, Zee Entertainment, The Hindustan Times and The Times of India.
