Sanjay R Gagnani enters Zee TV's Punar Vivah 2

The success of Punar Vivah 1 with Gurmeet Chaudhary and Kraitka Sengar in the lead roles has led Shashi - Sumeet Mittal Productions Pvt. Ltd.  to extend the concept  of their show with a fresh story and a new cast. The new season of Punar Vivah – Ek Nayi Umeed - 2 was first premiered on 20th May 2013.

Like most other shows on air, Punar Vivah – Ek Nayi Umeed too is under going changes in terms of casting.

Rubina Dilaik one of the protagonists in Punar Vivah recently quit the show on the grounds of being dissatisfied with the way her on screen character Divya had been  shaping up in the show.

Official sources from the production house confirmed the news to Adgully. They said, “Rubina was not happy with the way her onscreen character Divya was shaping up in the show. She started on good terms, but  did not  like the storyline and the changed track of her character  in the show.”

The source further added, “Rubina shared a good bond with us, but her quitting the show does not affect the production house much since actors do enter and exit frequently from the show. It’s part of work and as far as Divya’s role is concerned, the hunt is on for the right cast but nothing has been finalised yet.”

With her exit from the show, the production house has roped in Sanjay R Gagnani, of Hamari Devrani and Hamari Saas Leela fame  to play a cameo role of a guy  who approaches  Sarita (Shrishty Rode) with a marriage proposal. He has been roped in along with Abhishek Mallik who recently entered the show. Their entry is tuning well with the ongoing story where Raj (Karan Grover) is keen that Sarita re-marries and moves on in life.

Punar Vivah-Ek Nayi Umeed 2 airs Monday-Friday at 10.30 pm on Zee TV.
