Senior journalist Jahangir Pocha passes away...

The NewsX television channel’s editor-in-chief Jehangir Pocha, Senior journalist, passed away on Saturday 12th July 2014 due to a cardiac arrest in Gurgaon.

Barely eight hours before he breathed his last, Pocha was very active on social networking site Twitter. One of his last tweets for that day was a light-hearted one where he posted a picture of a news report about a Bombay high court ruling that said coming home late without informing one's wife amounts to cruelty. The text of his tweet read, "Hurrying home..."

Pocha was born in Mumbai and did his Bachelors in Economics in 1990, followed by MBA in 1992 from the Mumbai University. Later he went to Harward for a Masters in Public Administration. He was a former editor of Business World magazine and China correspondent for Boston Globe newspaper.
