Shah Rukh Khan burst into the Bollywood scene in 1992 in the film ‘Deewana’, which won him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut, after having charmed the Delhi theatre scene and Doordarshan viewers with serials like ‘Fauji’ and ‘Circus’. An outsider in Bollywood, Shah Rukh carved a place for himself through his negative roles in ‘Darr’, ‘Baazigar’ and ‘Anjaam’. He further sealed his place in the industry through mega hits like ‘Karan Arjun’, ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’, ‘Pardes’, ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Baadshah’ and numerous other films. The super success of the film ‘Baadshah’ earned him the moniker ‘Baadshah of Bollywood’, where he delivered hit film after hit film.

Over the years, Shah Rukh Khan has won over his audiences with his charm, dimpled smile, romantic style and personality. What endeared him even more was the fact that he could make a place for himself in the industry without any godfather.
