Shailesh Gupta of Jagran appointed Chairman at ABC

The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) has elected Shailesh Gupta,Director , Marketing, Jagran Prakashan as their Chairman at ABC . In another move Executive Vice President Marketing of ITC Limited, Syed Mahmood has been elected as Deputy Chairman of the Bureau. Both have been elected for the year 2012-13.

 

Other than Mr. Gupta eight other publisher members have been elected to be on the Bureau’s Council Management for the year 2012-13. They are Amit Mathew - Malayala Manorama, Aritra Sarkar - ABP, I Venkat - Ushodaya Enterprises, Hormusji N Cama - The Bombay Samachar, Devendra V Darda - Lokmat Media, Sanjeev Vohra - Bennett, Coleman & Co. & M.Venkatesh of Hindustan Media Ventures.

 

From the advertising agencies four representatives have been elected : Shashi Sinha - Lodestar UM who is elected the Hony. Secretary, Madhukar Kamath – DDB Mudra Communications is the Hony. Treasurer, Vikram Sakhuja - GroupM, Srinivasan K Swamy - RK Swamy BBDO as Secretariat and Hormuzd Masani as Secretary General.

The advertisers’ representatives include Ravi Pisharody of Tata Motors, Debabrata Mukherjee, Coca Cola India and Anil Dua of Hero MotoCorp.
