SI powers Automated Infographics & Videographics for News Corp Australia

Sportz Interactive (SI), a leading sports data, technology and content solutions company, was appointed by News Corp Australia to create custom automated infographics and videographics for its marquee cricket events. These included the Australian Men’s Cricket Team’s series with India and the Big Bash League (BBL) which included the SuperCoach fantasy game.

SI’s offering utilised real-time data feeds and pre-defined templates to create shareable content within 60 seconds of a key event occurring. Operating on the back of an inherently scalable architecture capable of handling massive traffic, SI’s proprietary engine allows rapid deployment with the ability to integrate data from various sources.

These graphics are layered with match statistics, analysis and other key information related to the sporting events. Additionally, they provide users with contextual data to help with their fantasy gaming needs and sponsors with branding opportunities to monetise these assets.

Speaking on the partnership, Paul Zines (Senior Product Manager – Sport and Wagering, News Corp Australia) said: "We saw this partnership with Sportz Interactive as a fantastic opportunity to prove that by visualising data in content, we can create a more engaging experience for our premium audience. The simplicity of the dashboard that was built for us allowed our Editorial team to easily add contextual infographics and videographics to articles and social posts. Our team is excited to continue to work with Sportz Interactive in the future.”

Karthik Shankar (Director – Data Analytics & Video Solutions, Sportz Interactive) added: “It was an incredible experience working with the News Corp Australia team. Architecting the technology and putting together a product that was truly outstanding was always a top objective, but it was even more impactful to see it brought to life for a world-class media powerhouse. We are definitely looking forward to building a deeper partnership with News Corp Australia.”
