Sony AATH celebrates 1000 episodes of Gopal Bhar

Sony AATH, one of the most loved family entertainment channels has been consistently enthralling viewers with a slew of interesting programming line-ups across genres. One such show that has carved a special place for itself in the hearts of the viewers is ‘Gopal Bhar’. The show has recently reached a significant milestone of running 1000 episodes on the channel, the maximum for any animation series in Bengal.

Gopal Bhar is the story of a legendary jester in the court of Raja Krishnachandra, King of Nadia set amidst the backdrop of the 18th century. With witty and unique solutions, Gopal was declared the ‘Navaratna’ of the King’s court. Produced by Ssoftoons, the show is famous for its tales of wisdom where Gopal outwits other fellow courtiers in a simple yet effective manner. His stories are short, beautiful, and humorous with a specific social message. Over the years the show has engaged the families through stories that connect them to the roots of Bengali culture.

To celebrate the completion of its 1000-episode landmark, Sony AATH is running a 360-degree marketing campaign that includes on-air promotions and an interesting user-generated contest. As a part of the contest, fans can express their love for Gopal Bhar, by sharing something related to him – an art piece, poem, skit, sketch, etc. The best entries shall receive exclusive Sony AATH hampers. The contest is further being pushed on radio to maximise its reach.
