Sony AATH unveils World TV premiere of 'Goyenda Gopal – Daaba’r Chal'

Sony AATH, one of the leading Bengali entertainment channels, is delighted to announce the premiere of ‘Goyenda Gopal – Daaba’r Chal’. The film marks a significant milestone in Bangla entertainment as it brings the cherished folk figure, Gopal Bhar in a movie for the first time. It is a thriller with Gopal Bhar wearing the hat of a detective, unravelling mysteries, and saving his kingdom while maintaining his nonchalant comic and witty style.

‘Goyenda Gopal – Daaba’r Chal’, produced by Ssoftoons Pvt. Ltd., showcases the legendary tales of Gopal Bhar's intelligence and humour. Set in the background of East India Company trying to establish its roots in the country, the movie exposes the power struggle between Robert Clive and the Nawab of Murshidabad. When Raja Krishna Chandra is at the risk of exposing himself to the Nawab and losing his kingdom, Gopal Bhar rises to the occasion to knock down his opponents in his inimitable style. Filled with witticisms and humorous exchanges, he makes his investigations appear as a series of funny accidents.

To promote the movie, the channel has launched an extensive campaign that includes Print, OOH, Metro stations, On-ground, and digital activation. It began with the Mascot of Gopal Bhar appearing in popular historical places like Victoria Memorial and New Market, much to the pleasant surprise of the onlookers.
