Sony adds another show in crime genre!

Sony Entertainment Television is all set to present a new show in the crime genre space with actor Manoj Bajpayee anchoring the new series. The show titled ‘Encounter’ will be based on  real encounters that have taken place in different parts of India, including the well known ones which made headlines in the media.

For Sony TV this will be their fourth show in the crime genre since their earlier offerings, CID, Crime Patrol and Adaalat which have been popular with audiences have worked well for the channel.

Official sources have issued a confirmation about the launch of Encounter, which says, “The show will replace the ongoing reality dance show Boogie Woogie ‘Kids Championship’ and will be aired on weekends. The series will depict 35 different encounters. ”

To give the show more credibility, the channel brings back versatile actor Manoj Bajpayee to host the show which is slated for a launch in the month of April. With this show Bajpayee once again makes his entry on the small screen. In the past he has worked in shows like Kurukshetra, Swabhimaan and Badalte Rishte. He has already shot for the promo of the upcoming series.

Wait and watch out for ‘Encounter’ on Sony Television that will bring real encounters along with more doses of crime on your television screens soon.
