Sony MAX to air Dear Comrade on television

The Indian Cinema has given rise to many quintessential love stories famous across the globe. The marvellous Telugu classic Dear Comrade is packed with action, humour, and heart-wrenching romance. Contrary to countless other romantic love stories, this movie excels at key storytelling aspects like character development, representations, realism, and more. With Dear Comrade all set to air on Sony MAX on 6th October 2022 at 9 pm, here are five reasons why you should mark your calendar.

  1. Enthralling Story

The story explores the theme 'Fight for what you love' and, moving on the same tangent, is a modern and realistic twist on the typical love story. The story is not a stereotypical hero-worshipping plot, but the movie portrays Bobby and Lilly as equals. Lilly has big ambitions for the future, and Bobby focuses on his education and the Student Union. The action entertainer focuses on how these two contrasting individuals maintain their relationship while addressing their problems,

  1. Unique Characters

Dear Comrade sheds a different light on the character of a comrade- Bobby, played by Vijay Deverkonda, who is not someone who only advocates physical violence. He believes in actual empowerment; he embraces and assists his loved ones. His hatred and anger give him an imperfect persona. The challenges life throws at him help him turn his passion into a purposeful direction. Lilly's character, played by Rashmika Mandanna, is a sincere portrayal of a female character. Lilly is your girl next door. She adds a comedic touch to the film and tons of wit. In the movie, her character witnesses extraordinary growth. Watching Lilly conquer her fears alone, with such self-assurance and womanly wrath, is bewitching.

  1. Undeniable Romance

Vijay Deverkonda and Rashmika Mandanna's on-screen chemistry casts a spell on the audience. The film represents a balanced relationship full of innocent romance and a supportive bond. Bobby has encouraged Lilly to preserve her individuality and pursue her passion. Conversely, Lilly is the grounding factor in Bobby's life.

  1. Fantastic Tunes

Justin Prabhakaran's mastery of music and A.R Rehman's impeccable lyrics shine through all the tracks. They produced stirring and evocative musicals for Dear Comrade. It is an absolute treat to experience the magical tunes throughout the entire film. The song Kadalalle became an anthem for many. Whether O Kalala Kathala, Gira Gira, Nee Neeli Kannullona, or even Mamma Choodaro, every song makes you groove. The entire album is available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

  1. Absolute Feminism

Lilly wasn't represented as a helpless woman who required a man to protect her; instead, she was seen as an ordinary woman who only needed a small amount of encouragement to bloom in life fully. She talks about how every man has asked her to be someone or do something, but never what she wants to do.
