Tete`-a- tete with Director/ producer: Gul Khan

Gul Khan who holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from MCRC, Jamia Millia University, New Delhi, started her career as an assistant on the hugely popular dance show “Boogie Woogie” which was on-air for eight years.  Gul then wrote and directed some of the most popular and widely acclaimed television shows like “Sanjeevani”, “Shaheen” and “Rishtey” and also created content for the television market in Indonesia and some of the shows there like “Bewang Merah Bewang Putih” and “Mimpi Manis” which are still considered as landmarks on the Indonesian television landscape. She turned producer and co-founded 4 Lions Films in 2008.

Your friends from the industry: I have always inspired Ekta Kapoor and I feel our cameraperson who is DOP also is a magician and I am really fond of his work.

Your favorite getaway destination: though we don’t get so many holidays but if given a chance then Phuket.

Favorite books/ magazines: Dan Brown’s Deception Point

Food that you love: I love Chinese and Indian food.

How do you unwind during weekends: Firstly there are no weekends in our industry and if you are a director/producer absolutely no weekends but if I get some then I love to watch some TV shows.
