Tinder exits Russia over 'human rights

Tinder is departing Russia after more than a year since the invasion of Ukraine forced a slew of foreign companies to close or suspend their operations in Russia.
Match Group reportedly said on Monday that it will leave Russia by June 30 because it is dedicated to upholding human rights.
The Texas-based business disclosed the information in its annual impact report, which summarises how the business is achieving its environmental, human rights, and corporate governance objectives.
In response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the majority of significant Western corporations have curtailed or discontinued their activities as Chinese corporations increase their market share.
And in recent years, Russia has been bolstering its domestic technology sector as it looks to lessen its reliance on the west.
Tinder's departure also occurs as political repression in Russia has increased and laws governing the digital industry have been strengthened.
