TV This Week | Star grabs first spot followed by Colors during week 44: TAM

Week 44 has indeed been a fabulous week for all the Hindi general entertainment channels (GECs). They witnessed a gain in viewership in Week 44 even as the pecking order remained unchanged.

As per the TAM data for week 44 (26 Oct – 1 Nov) the Hindi GEC’s Star Plus has seen a substantial growth. Below is a detailed data of how these GEC’s have performed along with last week’s data.
The number one spot is as usual for Star Plus with 655032 GVTs (594810 GVTs last week). Colors have maintained its second position with 456890 GVTs, last week being 432194 GVTs.
While Zee clings to be on the third spot with 404572 GVTs as compared to 393512 GVTs last week.

As always there is close call for the fourth spot being fought by Sony Sab and Life Ok. This time Sony Sab has made it to the fourth spot with 306985 GVTs as compared to 287091 GVTs last week.
In the fifth position we have Life Ok with a substantial increase in viewership of 305165 GVTs as compared to last week 256529 GVTs.

This time also its Sony Entertainment Television that has maintained the sixth position with a viewership of 285159 GVTs as compared to last week’s 247590 GVTs. The other GECs from SONY and ZEE stable are seeing an increase in TAM data slowly. Sony’s Pal recorded 31402 GVTs as compared to last week’s 26215 GVTs, while Zindagi recorded a viewership of 31325 GVTs as compared to last week’s 26614 GVTs and  are on the 7th and 8th position respectively.
