Conversations on Twitter spiked at 280K, with #HappyBirthdayKingKhan emerging as the top trend of the day. Fans took to Twitter to celebrate this occasion with celebratory Tweets, photos and videos of their on-screen idol, showcasing their love and sending birthday wishes to the superstar. SRK joined Periscope; first-ever Periscope from Mannat

On this special occasion, the tech-savvy actor, who enjoys staying in touch with fans and interacting with them on Twitter, found a new way to engage with them. He joined Twitter’s live-streaming app, Periscope and conducted his first-ever Periscope broadcast at 3 PM today. Shah Rukh Khan joined Periscope to involve his fans (in real-time) across the world in as part of his birthday celebrations in Mumbai. The Periscope took place at his Bandra mansion, Mannat where he waved to the throng of thousands of screaming fans that were waiting to catch a glimpse of the actor outside the house. It was the first time that fans watching the Periscope got to see the crowd and the fans from SRK’s point of view - it was as good as being with the actor! Through Periscope, users can watch what their favourite stars are up to, feel close to them and their glamorous lives, and even interact with them through comments, and express their love by sending hearts.The Periscope was up for 24 hours.

And that’s not all, in association with @IndiaTodayTV and @aajtak, Twitter also conducted a special Twitter Town Hall, where fans from across the globe sent their questions for the star on his birthday using #AskSRK. The actor addressed these questions on TV, and the special episode aired yesterday on India Today TV and Aaj Tak at 9 PM.
