Universal Music partners with 9XO to launch GRRR! the latest album from The Rolling Stones

Music label Universal Music India has announced the release of GRRR! – The brand new greatest hits collection from The Rolling Stones. The album is a compilation of band’s most successful songs over the last five decades featuring all the classic such as 'Gimme Shelter', '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction', 'Jumpin' Jack Flash', 'Street Fighting Man', 'Start Me Up', 'Beast of Burden', 'Tumbling Dice', 'Love Is Strong'.  Songs that have made them the most successful rock n roll band in history. The album also features two brand new singles from the legends of Rock ‘n’ Roll titled ‘Doom and Gloom’ and ‘One More Shot’.

Universal Music has partnered with 9X Media’s international music channel 9XO to roll out a month-long campaign celebrating the band’s legacy in India. The O Heart The Rolling Stones campaign kicks off with the Exclusive premiere of the brand new music video for the single `Doom and Gloom’ on 9XOs Hot Sh*t platform. The video will premiere on 9XO on 4th December`12. As part of the O Heart The Rolling Stones campaign 9XO will also air hit videos on 9XOs video wall - a unique platform that showcases videos using album cover art.

The lead single ‘Doom and Gloom’ from GRRR! marks the first time that Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood have been in the studio together after seven years. The single was recorded in Paris and produced by Don Was who has worked with the band for their five previous albums Voodoo Lounge, Striped, Bridges to Babylon, Licks Live and A Bigger Bang.

Formed in 1962, at the Marquee Club on London’s Oxford Street, with a phenomenal career spanning five decades, the band has seen incredible success across the world. They are most noted for their eclectic sound that assimilates various genres of music to create their trademark Rolling Stones sound and are responsible for a number of anthems like ‘Satisfaction’ and’ Paint It Black’.
