Vednarayan Sirdeshpande joins WhiteHat Jr as Global Head of brand marketing

Sirdeeshpande comes with rich experience in marketing, e-commerce, FMCG and advertising sectors. The former Discovery Head of Marketing, Vednarayan Sirdeshpande, has joined WhiteHat Jr as the Global Head of Brand Marketing. In his earlier role before joining WhiteHat Jr, Sirdeshpande was in charge of the marketing function at Discovery.

In 2016 he joined Discovery as Director Marketing & Audience Measurement and he was elevated to the post of Director Original content and marketing in 2017. In 2019, he was promoted again as the Head of Marketing.

During his 3-year stint at Discovery he led brand marketing, IP creation and digital marketing across all network brands. He has developed more than 50 hours of long-form and short-form original production for premium network brands. Sirdeshpande has also executed some of the most famous marketing campaigns like Man vs Wild with PM Modi, Into the Wild with Superstar Rajnikanth.

Before joining Discovery, Sirdeshpande has had 10 years of core marketing experience in e-commerce (Amazon India), FMCG (Mondelez International) and Advertising (Ogilvy) sectors across India and the Asia Pacific, driving success in achieving the twin peaks of marketing – creativity and effectiveness.

Being a hardcore thinking marketer, he has managed to develop some winning brand strategies, heading content development, media management and creation, and delivery of best in class 360-degree campaigns. Sirdeshpande believed in following best practices and process innovation which helped him in setting up a robust partner ecosystem across several organisations.
